empowers people of faith to work together and partner to create a healthy, just and strong Minnesota.
On February 12th, Speaker of the Minnesota House of Representatives Paul Thissen and Governor Dayton’s Chief of Staff Tina Smith joined 450 clergy, faith leaders and key legislators at Christ Lutheran Church on Capitol Hill to launch 40 Days of Prophetic Vigil. They also discussed working together during the legislative session to achieve an equitable budget.
People of faith came together around a common set of values and together, we have witnessed the profound impact those values have had on our state leaders. In 2013, we will embark on a path to ensure that our leaders are guided by our values as they choose the direction of our state.
250 religious and community leaders from ISAIAH, Jewish Community Action,
His Works United and the Center for Public Ministry will gather with
high-ranking members of the Minnesota State Legislature and other public
officials. The faith-based conversation will focus on creating a new
economy, making equitable investments and sharing our abundance for the
good of all.
